History

  • t-chip

    2005

    T-Chip Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was established.

  • 2006

    Focused on the solution design of color screen MP3 on Sigmatel platform.

  • 2007

    Became the first solution provider of Rockchip system and launched MP4 video player supporting avi format.

  • 2008

    Built the industry's first touch screen player supporting rmvb format.

  • 2009

    Launched software and hardware solutions for e-book products.

  • 2010

    Took the lead in launching Android tablet PC solutions in China.

  • 2011

    Comprehensively developed RK2918 and upgraded tablet computer solutions.

  • 2012

    Continuously advanced in the tablet computer industry, enriched product lines, and provided high-quality services for customers worldwide.

  • 2013

    IIntroduced the MediaTek platform and launched the 4G communication tablet, expanding product lines and offering our customers a wider range of options.

  • 2014

    FIREFLY TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD was established. Firefly launched Firefly-RK3288, the first open-source single-board computer, which gained popularity around the world.

  • 2015

    Established Firefly open-source forum. With our high-quality products and services, there were over 100,000 registered users worldwide.

  • 2016

    Open Source Platform project won the third prize in the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition". Firefly established a Firefly Maker Space with University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Zhongshan Institute.

  • 2017

    Introduced the core board series to improve hardware development and service industries. Firefly became a joint postgraduate training base in Guangdong, China, collaborating with universities to promote innovation.

  • 2018

    Combining AI with an open-source platform, Firefly launched edge computing product platforms and also collaborated with Baidu to introduce the Offline Facial Recognition Kit.

  • 2019

    Firefly launched Face Recognition All-in-One PCs and ARM Cluster Servers used in more intelligent scenarios, such as cloud phones, cloud gaming, and high-performance edge computing.

  • 2020

    Introduced StationPC, a new brand and the latest open-source product, StationPC series mini PC.
